Meet the Head and Staff
A Message from the Head
I’ll always remember the first time I stepped through Lanesborough’s doors. Like so many people, I knew the school’s excellent reputation, but I hadn’t quite anticipated the feeling I would get upon walking its corridors and meeting the boys. The school was abuzz with activity - the pupils I met were brimming with enthusiasm, curiosity and energy. They were well-mannered and polite. They were individual. But, most of all, they were happy.
Lanesborough is well known as a centre of academic excellence - and rightfully so. But this only paints part of the picture. Success is not something that can be measured purely by exam grades. True success is multi-faceted - you see it in a person's values, their interests, their inner confidence, the way they treat others. We know that learning often manifests outside the traditional classroom; we encourage our boys to take advantage of a wide array of extracurricular activities, as well as the expertise offered in our excellent music, sport, art and drama departments. At Lanesborough, we strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment that nurtures each boy's unique interests.
Lanesborough remains both deeply connected to its rich history and focused on the future. This is a school where we celebrate traditional, academic rigour, while also embracing innovation, modern technology, and forward thinking. I’m delighted to be leading the school into its next chapter, and hope to welcome you through our doors soon.
