Year 2 Report from Tonbridge Castle Visit

Our Year 2 boys went on a school visit to Tonbridge Castle. Arthur T has written some of his thoughts and feelings about the trip.
The first thing I saw was the gatehouse. The murder holes and the portcullis protected the knights and lords in the gatehouse. Outside I saw the steep motte and the muddy moat. The gong farmer went to the moat and cleaned all the stinky poo and wee! But I want to know when they have a break. Down in the deep, dark cellar we saw lots of food stored in barrels. We also saw a man making arrows and cleaning swords in barrels of sand. I loved the activity room. I rubbed a crayon on a board with a picture on it and it rubs through on the paper. I even dressed up as King Arthur. It was really fun.
