House Drama Competition
Well done to all those senior boys who took part in the House Drama Competition.
House Drama Competition 2015
This year, the boys unanimously voted to take part in a drama festival. This was a house competition in which the four houses prepared and performed their short plays that they chose in front of the adjudicator.
Throughout the competition boys were awarded points for certain things, like finishing the play first or getting all of the costumes ready first. They started by choosing their play that they wanted to perform and then they had to adapt it and turn it into a professional play script. From there, auditions, led by the Year 8 Boys, took place and the parts were awarded accordingly.
Lancaster adapted the story of Rumplestiltskin, and turned it into The Return Of Rumple-whats-a-name, Tudor adapted the Frog Prince, Windsor adapted the story of Little Red Riding Hood and York adapted the Beauty and the Beast. They all worked extremely hard along the way to get them to work. They were kept under the strict eye of Mr S. Loubser, the Head of Drama and made sure that certain things were in on time.
On the day, after many, many rehearsals and practises the boys from Year six, seven and eight all performed extremely well to create a nail-biting competition. As it stood, York came 4th, Tudor 3rd, Lancaster 2nd and Windsor 1st.
