Year 1 Visited the World Wildlife Fund

Year 1 visited the World Wildlife Fund in Woking on Tuesday as part of their Topic work on Polar and Desert regions.
They focused mainly on creatures from polar regions and learned many new facts. Did you know that a polar bear’s skin is black, like its nose, and that it has two eyelids, so that it does not suffer snow blindness? They loved working around the four pods that look at different living environments and worked in pairs to create their own 3D polar landscape.
