Shell Activities Week

Updates from Shell Activities Week.
Day 01
Graham Bowring (‘The Hedgehog Man’) gave an interesting talk about the food and habits of hedgehogs. He brought along Henry the Hedgehog for the boys to observe and some even got to stroke his spikes, which felt like the bristles on a brush.
Day 02
The Shell boys joined in with a production of Pinocchio presented by the Image Theatre company. They sang songs and copied the actions and two boys were even up on the stage.
Day 04
Shell enjoyed an amazing trip to Painshill Park. In the morning all the boys got muddy creating animal face sculptures, crowns and journey sticks all from the natural materials that they could find. They also made their own paints by crushing chalk, charcoal and grass and of course mud! In the afternoon we followed an I-Spy trail round the park, the highlight of which was a visit to the Crystal Cave. The wet weather did nothing to dampen our spirits but only served to make the mud muddier and more exciting. It was a fabulous day!
