Snippets of the Week

Snippets for the week commencing 16 October 2017.

On Monday Pre-Prep boys were privy to a talk given by Col Chris Loria; shuttle test pilot with the 1996 NASA mission. As a guest and family friend of the Davison family, we were privileged to host Col Chris and his son, Nate, at our assembly. We now have lots of budding astronauts!
Caption2J have been learning about the life of the artist, Caravaggio. In our Art lesson we made a close observational drawing of a fruit bowl using water colours.

Year 4 have been having fun acting out part of ‘The Firework-Maker’s Daughter’ by Phillip Pullman. The boys acted in role as Rambashi’s pirates as part of their work learning about play scripts.  The drama helped them to understand how the characters speak as well as the stage directions which would be required to turn the novel into a play.
Shell H used coloured sand to make a rangoli pattern to celebrate Diwali.
Year 4 had a great visit to Legoland on Thursday to study Systems and Control. Our future space men are already showing how they are able to control space robots with their programming skills.
Year 4 enjoying their DT lesson, making marble mazes and learning new skills.
