Boyzone
Our ‘Boyzone’ is a place other than the classroom for teaching and learning. It is about getting the learning out and about, providing the boys with challenging, exciting and different experiences to help them learn. Playing and learning outside also helps pupils to understand and respect nature, the environment and the interdependence of humans, animals, plants, and lifecycles. The outdoor classroom offers space and therefore is particularly important to those boys who learn best through active movement.
Boys work towards certification in; ‘Spirit of Adventure’, ‘Service’, and ‘Self-Leadership’. Using outdoor activities, the boys will enhance their personal and social communication skills; their physical health; their mental and spiritual health; their sensory, and aesthetic awareness; their ability to assert personal control and increased sensitivity to one's own well-being.
