Year 5 Latin
Year 5 Senators loved using all the weapons of rhetoric in their Latin lessons recently. Having learned all about Roman Schools, they debated the relative merits of Lanesborough and the Roman school “Quintillian’s” with much-impassioned gesturing and persuasive speech. Points were awarded on abaci for rhetorical flourishes and points of fact: the end result across the Year Group was a very fair draw, meaning that happily, the floor of the Senate avoided bloodshed on this occasion.
